George is collaborating with HubbyCo on making a short film comparing and contrasting points of view on the topic of marriage by using clips from notorious films.
In his photographs, Porcari works with the idea of photojournalism and pits a detached documentary approach against an interrupted point of view that plays with potential for narratives - or aborted narratives - making a complex and ambiguous introspective succession of images - comical, serious, absurd, contained within one image. His work has been exhibited widely in Los Angeles and was recently in a two person exhibition with Jorge Pardo in New York at Momenta Gallery. His texts have been published numerous times in CineAction Magazine, NY Arts, and Inflatable Magazine.
